Meet Our Founder

Jonan Mendoza
I have never asked "why me?" or "why us?" — because deep down, I believe purpose reveals itself when you are ready to step into it.
My journey into fitness began as a search for strength, but it became something far greater. As a parent to my youngest daughter — who is autistic and has a global learning delay, I witness daily the barriers that exist in a world not built for everyone. Watching her navigate those challenges has gifted me clarity and purpose.
I created Gymswoop to challenge the fitness industry and the world to do better.
Fitness should not be exclusive, intimidating, or defined by unrealistic standards. It should not make people feel invisible, overlooked, or "not enough." My mission is to create spaces that are accessible, adaptive, and genuinely inclusive — spaces where difference is not just accepted but valued.
Gymswoop represents every person who has entered a fitness space and felt like they didn't belong. We represent those who feel underestimated, invisible, or marginalised. Because true strength is not found in perfection — it is found in resilience, representation, and community.
Gymswoop is more than apparel & workouts. This is advocacy. This is leadership. This is a movement towards belonging.
We are all built differently — and that difference is to be celebrated.
I'm so glad you're here. Now that you've arrived — stay swooped. #StaySwooped
